The following table contains the data for Air Quality Measurement in Ontario for the year 1998. As you can see there are a limited number of sites where Air Quality is measured. In order to properly calculate Air Quality for use as a Quality of Life Indicator you must add together the columns of Moderate measurements (32-49) and Poor measurements(50-99). Poor Air Quality for the QLI Project is measured as the number of hours of Moderate or Poor Air Quality that is above 31 hours.

The other items represented in this table, which are the 7 columns between Valid Hours and Year, are chemicals/pollutants measured in testing Air Quality. We do not use this information in the QLI but you may be interested in using this information in your local report.
